  1. Hello Irina,
These photos are gorgeous. Oh how I love summer flowers and that yellow finch is as sweet as can be. Thanks for stopping by my friend.

The weather is much cooler today...yay! 100 degrees is too hot in my opinion. We had a nice day getting together with Rob's family celebrating his birthday from earlier this month.

I hope you have a beautiful Sunday!!!

  3. Hello Irina:
You are so right to ponder and savour the wonderful months of summer which these lovely images so much reflect. The light filtering through the trees, which you have captured so well, serves to remind us of walking through woods in the dappled shade, so welcoming in a hot sun.

But, as we are sure that you agree, all days are to be valued, each one more precious than the one before.

  4. Oooo.....I know who the photographer is....and a talented one at that! LOOK AT OUR LITTLE GOLD FINCH! We have one that comes to our yard...we call him, "ATTICUS" as in Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird! We are nuts, I know....

Oh dear one, hasn't our August just been fabulous????? LOVE TO YOU and I am so tickled at the prospects ahead of US!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Dear Irina~
    Such a beautiful post.
It's actually cool this morning, which is a lovely, most welsome change from the hot, humid days of June & July. Perhaps August will be our "cool month"?? :)
Whenever I see a comment from you, a smile instantly appears.
You are such a wonderful person and I am so honored to call you my friend, Irina. You, Anita, and a handful of others, are the reason behind my newest post.
I am sooo looking forward to the day we finally DO meet.
Sending you hugs and much love on this beautiful, cool, summer day.

Have a fantastic day my dear heart. We are staying buckled down to HOME today! I have a harp lesson tonight from my neighbor who is going to help me read the music for THE LITTLE FOUNTAIN! And I am going to go NOW to draw....love you! Anita

  7. Hello Irina,

Thank you for your sweet birthday wishes to my Mom! I DO feel SO blessed to have her in my life along with my incredible father and Maximus & my husband too. There is so much to be thankful for.

What have you been up to? I hope your weather has been cooler as well. It's so nice to be out of the scorching temps here.

I updated my post with a different photo of my Mom and actually it's the two of us. I was telling Anita that I realized last night when I was doing the post that I didn't have that many recent photos of my Mom as well as the two of us together...So, I made sure to get some today. :)

Have a beautiful week, my friend!

  9. Lovely photos Irina! I especially like the flowers and the butterfly. Because of our wet summer we've seen very few butterflies, until now, when some appear to have been coaxed out by warmer weather.

I'm glad you like Phoebe's paintings, they are really quite special.

    Have a lovely week!

  13. Irina~
I had to come by and tell you how much I LOVED your last comment and laughed out loud (group hugs!!).
It makes me long for the day the three of us finally DO meet.
Will we be able to contain ourselves?
Will we stay up all night and giggle like teenagers until the sun comes up??
Will we be able to say goodbye??
Anita & I have discussed many times how wonderful it would be for you two to make plans to come out here--even if it's only for a few days.
Those few days would be MAGICAL....
    (Who's in?? Anybody?? :) :) :)
I think it's time to start making plans...hint, hint...
    (my fingers are crossed)
Huge hugs and much love to you, dear Irina~ Lisa xo

  16. Every season has its own beauty and I cannot believe how they seem to be more rushed by society with each passing year. Although I am head-over-heels in love with autumn, I would not dare rush summer for then I will simply find myself rushing autumn too. In the stores and across blogland you can already see the changes. I keep telling myself not to give in. ;) That's why I purposely chose to celebrate the rest of summer with a French theme. It will keep me focused. ;)

Always a delight stopping by, my friend.
    Love and blessings to you.
