to discover the kind and talented Marcia's Snow in July party...and visit all of the lovely participants!
Please, won't you take your seats....
and join me on a journey...
to a time long, long ago...
to a place quite far away...
Odessa, Ukraine |
where a little dark-haired girl,
discovered magic every day.
Richard Scarry |
winter brought a special charm...
she knew it was enchanted..
sparkling snow, as soft as down
and these she waved....
tinywhitedaisies.tumblr |
for wishes granted.
Father Frost brought little gifts...
to place under the tree..
the splendor of the Nutcracker
made her squeal with glee
Odessa Opera House |
Odessa Opera House |
sparkling seaside...
calm
fresh
joyful
she and Grandma searched for shells..
the pink ones were her favorite
I remember this so well....
All the beauty, all the magic
weheartit |
all the memories I now treasure...
thank you childhood...
thank you winter...
you've filled my soul with utmost pleasure....
Thank you, dear friends, for indulging me in this little trip down memory lane...hee...sorry if it was a bit corny!
I only spent the first six years of my life in Odessa, but I have such vivid seasonal memories....this was so much fun...
Thank you, lovely Marcia!
I hope the weather is beautiful in everyone's corner of the world...
Hugs,
- Irina

Darling Irina, there was NOTHING corny about this beautiful post and your warm childhood memories. I was all smiles throughout the entire post. Did you read the line underneath the image of the four children sitting on the thrones at their coronation? "For the heart of a child." I see nothing but that here. To the sparkling seaside of Odessa, I give you Queen Irina! :)
ReplyDeleteBy the way, that opera house is a dream, and the tree with the frozen red flowers is surreal. Loved it all, my friend.
Thank you for participating in our quaint little gathering, simple and sweet, but so much opportunity to give and you know how I love that. Still making the rounds to my guests, but I'll probably visit a second time to really take it all in as i like to.
Always plenty of light here, my friend.
KEEP SHINING!!
Marcia and Miss A.J.

Oh - so lovely! I especially loved the images of the Nutcracker and the little girl placing a gift under the Christmas tree! It looks so magical - I feel like I stepped back into childhood! Christmas & Snow have a way of doing that! Precious!
